Course Details
The 45 holes of golf at the El Conquistador Golf & Tennis Resort are part of Tucson's biggest and most popular golf destination. There are enough trees throughout the 18-hole Canada (not pronounced like the country, but more like "can-ya-da") and Conquistador course to give it a bit of a parkland-style feel, with plenty of desert surrounding. All three courses, including the 9-hole Pusch Ridge course, traverse plenty of ravines and ridges to provide significant golfing challenge.
The Hilton Tucson El Conquistador Resort has over 420 guest rooms, arranged in a series of 3-story buildings that don't obscure the great views. The resort is located on the north side of Tucson, just west of the "sky islands" (mountain ranges) of the enormous Coronado National Forest.

El Conquistador Resort & Country Club is 12.3 miles from downtown Tucson.

Notes

Garmin Approach S12 Golf Watch
This caddy on your wrist knows distances for over 42,000 courses. We doubt that Bones Mackay can even claim to have that much knowledge. And the Approach S12 is a bit cheaper than hiring Bones.

Telescopic Golf Ball Retriever
Balls can be expensive. There's nothing wrong with taking a few seconds to pull a ball or two out of one of those bleeping "penalty areas".
